Ex boyfriend asked to meet up for coffee! What does this mean!!?

Long story sorry... We started dating in August 2015 then he broke up with me in mid February for about a month cuz he was having family problems but we stayed friends and would text each other and everything was fine. But then we got back together cuz he missed me and realized we worked really well together. So we started dating until April but he broke up with me again cuz he was again having family problems and really didn't have time for a relationship at the moment. After that we had no contact at all, never texted him, never saw him and just decided to move on with my life. But recently literally out of nowhere he texted me asking if we could go get coffee this Saturday and he even offered to pick me up. I of course said yes to coffee but I'll drive myself cuz I'm still desperately in love with him. I'm just wondering what do you think this means? Could it mean he wants to get back together again? Since its out of nowhere I'm thinking that's what it is. Cuz who just contacts their ex out of nowhere to catch up? I think that would be weird and a waste of both of our times. But any idea of what you guys think? Maybe from experience?
