What Things newborns need?

Question

Im planning my babyshower and im farther behind on what i need to get for my son, due to losing my job when my brother passed. 
What are somethings that a newborn really really needs?

Obviously:
Diapers/wipes 
Bottles/bottle brush
Clothes/socks/mittens/hats
Blankets (thick and receiving)
Car seat
Place to sleep (crib, pack n play)
Tub
Towels
Baby soaps/lotions
Either a rocker/swing/bouncer
Binkys
Boppy

I think those are pretty much the necessities, in my opinion anyway. You might find your baby needs more or less though.

And remember you can find just about everything used via resale stores, Goodwill and Craigslist. A lot of folks have problems even selling them so often just give stuff away :)

Whipes  (Amazon Elements are cheap!)
Baby tush thermometer (cheap at any pharmacy)
Baby tylenol
Baby bath wash
Clothes  (very few to no newborn items some 0-3 month stuff more 3-6 month stuff most 6-9 month stuff and the rest youl get down the road. Or honestly your babes will stay below 6 month clothes for at least 3 months.
Depending on the month your baby will be born a snowsuit 
A winter hat
Blankets 
A stroller 
A car seat 
A pack n play or bed 
If your gonna breastfeed I highly suggest a pack n play near your bed or even a co sleeper bassinet those first few months are so hard with sleep those are a lifesaver cuz they go on your bed and you don't need to be woken up as much or have baby fully wake up you just take em Right our nurse back in.

pacifiers were vital for us

Bottles weren't vital as I exclusively breastfed till I had to stop when he was 7 months.

Diaper rash cream (good to have in the house!)

I think that's it imo.

We did use the gripe water but that's not a must for every baby.

Also my son had reflux so he ended up needing to have his head elevated while he slept so I bought a rock n play which he outgrew at 6 months.
