Postpartum bleeding: Full on depends or pads?

I'm a 2nd timer...my first pregnancy was twins and the huge thick overnight pads did NOT do the job all that well. This go round is a singleton so I'm curious what people think would be better in my situation.

I should've mentioned I had a c section with them and will be having a repeat this time plus a tubal. Idk if that'll make it any worse...

I say use what ya need. Buy pads first then if it's still not doing the job transition to diapers.
