Happy due date! And happy 3 days old!!

Olivia • Wife, mommy of soon to be 4 👧🏼👶👶

Our little princess Rosalie has finally graced us with her presence, and boy did she start life off with a bang!!

I was cramping and contracting sunday night, couldnt sleep was in pain but had a OB app monday morning so figured id just wait that it was nothin major. Went to my appointment he said i was 2-3 cm and about 80% thinned, that i could have her any day! So went home got things ready just incase pain was getting stronger but not quite close enough made dinner and around 7 i went to shower and had the begining of the "bloody show" my doc told me at my appointment if my water broke or i had blood or contractions got close to go to L&D. So i called to tell them i was coming. They told me to wait 30 mins put my feet up and drink water i was probably just dehydrated. I was like no im having alot of pain and pressure ive been contracting all day and i just dropped alot of blood!!! So i went in was still only 3 cm so they had me walk to see if that would progress. It didnt so they sent me home around 11:30. Which at that point i was miserable in pain and contracting like crazy. Now i have a high pain tolerance but labor isnt even in the same category as normal pain!!! After 2 hours of miserableness at home crying and in emense pain (quite dramatic) i had more blood so my husband called L&D told them we were coming in. I was afraid they would just send me home again. It was torture!! The nurse said i hadnt moved in dialation but i had alot of blood that she woulnt call the dr cuz he would just send me home, she wanted to see if i progressed myself. I was a zombie at that point laying in bed trying to get through my contractions that were every 3 minutes and extremely strong. Bless the people that have to put up with us woman in labor pains!! My dr finally came in i was still not dialating but i was almost 100% thinned so he just said nope your staying well break ur water and were having this baby!!! I was so excited. After admitting me around 7:30 in the morning i got my epidural (which is a god send!) Women who go completely natural u are my hero!! I couldn't do it. As the dr was on his way to break my water it decided to break on its own and i dialated pretty quickly after that! Started pushing at about 130 after 2 hours of exhausted pushing Rosalie Arlene Pilman had finally arrived August 2nd 2016 @ 3:18 pm!!! But she was under so much stress from me not being able to push her out right away, she was not breathing it took them 3 minutes to get her to breath with assistance. ( longest 3 minutes of my life!) They rushed her to the nicu to work on her but she is a resilient little princess because she is doing amazing and we are all home enjoying our happy family!!!

Sorry so long but good luck to all you August moms whether you are a first timer or not. There is nothing like finally holding your child in your arms vs your belly!!!
