Cloth diapers?

Question

I know this app is about being pregnant and what not, but I wanted to hear other people's stories.

Anyone using cloth diapers? I've been thinking about doing cloth instead of disposable. If you are, what is your experience like? How much did you usually spend on the diapers? With the extra laundry, have your bills gone up?(gas, water, electricity) How many diapers do you have? And any advice? Thanks in advance!

There's an awesome group on fb called Fluff Love & CD Science. Definitely check them out. We've been using cloth exclusively now for almost 8months and we absolutely love it. Idk how much I spent in total as I started buying them around 10weeks and stopped about a month after my son was born (it becomes addicting lol). I have 100+ diapers (all different brands), but all you need is 24. Actually, I don't even use all of them. I have one brand in particular that I love that I use almost exclusively, Funky Fluff. As for bills, I haven't noticed an increase except for maybe by $1 or $2. I do laundry every 4days and my regular laundry once a week. I also use the same detergent on my diapers as I do my clothes (Tide original powder). It's really easy once you get the hang of it. Everything seens overwhelming at first, but after awhile it's nothing.

I did with my first. I spent all the cost of diapering upfront- I can't remember the cost, but I know it was less than half the cost of disposables for a year, and she was in then for two and a half years. My laundry, water, and electric costs showed no major increase- like only a couple of dollars per billing cycle, which still made cloth cheaper than disposables.
