Icyhot for lower back pain, safe or no?

For the past two days my lower back hurts, cant move or walk. Im seven weeks pregnant. I was at my doctors two days ago, and he said that everything looks good, after i got home from my doctors my back started hurting, so i was late asking him if its ok to use icy hot cream for my back. Some people say its not safe, some say its ok in small dose. What do u ladies think?
