Do you think it's okay to have a baby shower for the second baby? My first was a girl, and the new baby is a boy.

Do YOU want a shower and celebration??  I view baby showers as a celebration, a get together, a party.  I personally do NOT require people to bring gifts (greatly appreciated if they do) and this is my first.

Its to your descression i grew up in a family that it didnt matter you got the shower for your first .. but i know alot of people who have a second just realize that not everyone agrees so you dont usualy get nearly the amount of stuff

It depends on how far apart they are. Mine will be 4 years apart and I have NOTHING for a baby so my sil is throwing me one.
