Pcos sucks

My husband & I have been married for 7 months. TTC for the entire time. The day we got married I stopped taking my birth control. I know it takes time to get bc out of the system but I went to my Gyno she said I may have PCOS and She and Endocrinologist put me on 1000 mg of metformin. Nothing has happened so I'm wondering when should I try clomid? My periods are slightly irregular but come every 34-50 days... Just can't pin point ovulation. Both my sister and sister in law are pregnant & I can't help but blame myself for being over weight. Anyone else going through something similar??. Baby dust ✨
