Epilepsy with birth control?

So yesterday I was diagnosed with Juvenile Absence Epilepsy after my first seizure in February. Obviously this is quite surprising for me as I'm 19, and had no previous health problems. I'm awaiting to see another consultant as I'm being put on medication to control the epilepsy but as of right now, I have 3 options. I think one was called Lamotrigine(?). I'm currently on Microgynon and have been for around 3 years but one of these AED's can cause both medication to become ineffective. Is anybody else on medication like this and have any advice on what to do? Thank you :)

I was on lamotrigine for 8years, my docs put me on cerazette because they said its was the only birth control that would work the best.

I'm not on birth control but I understand the seizures 100%. Have had them for a year and a half now. Epilepsy and an unknown cause. I take keppra (levitarceum) I think that's how you spell it, and it reacts with A lot of meds so I would just talk to a doctor about it.

I took depo when i was on seizure meds. My doctors told me it would affect the pills

I was on tegretol and keppra both to control my seizures, and took depo shot, they wouldn't let me get the inplant bc there's not enough research yet to see if it affects those with seizure disorders, but when i came off the seizure meds and got a year seizure-free, i got the implant, no problems with either
