Does anyone else feel self conscious on their boyfriend's lap?

So my boyfriend is like 5'11/6' and 143 lbs but pretty muscular and I'm 5'8 and 138 lbs (we're both 17). I know I'm not fat necessarily but he's not that much bigger than me and I always fight him when he wants me to sit directly on his lap unless I have somewhere to put my legs so I can lift some of my weight. He always really wants me to but I just always feel like I'm gonna crush him and I get embarrassed. Is anyone else like this or is it just me?

I used to be like that but trust me it's fine they will tell you if you're squashing them or anything just show you trust him take that step

I weigh about 100 pounds more than my husband and he picks me up and puts me on his lap all the time and he ain't been squished yet lol.

God yes! I've always wanted to be in one of those relationships where the girl always sit in the guys lap but I feel like if I do tht to my boyfriend I'll squash him!!! I'm not fat or anything I'm 5'7" and 157lb an he's 6'0" and around 170lb but I still wouldn't sit in his lap unless I could hold my weight up myself! He used to drive me crazy when he would pick me up! I always felt like I'd break his back or something! 😂

I am but I realized he loves me and doesn't care about that so I'm 5'2 and 155lbs

Lol my husband is 5'3" and about 145 lbs or so I was 5'2" and about the same b4 getting pregnant now I'm still short and almost 200 lbs and I sit on his lap all the time I'm like a whale but it's all good he gets to hold both his babies.... I'm sure he isn't worried he probably loves u sitting on him but it is awkward until u get used to it
