Should I be mad?

My husband asked to go to a guys night and I said sure just be home by 10 cuz I was going to the movies at 10:30...well come to find out he lied cuz he said he went to his friends house and ended up going to a strip club..should I be mad?

Your husband lied to you and that's disrespectful. I would be mad too, he lied to you about where you're going.. He clearly knew that going to the strip club wasn't okay so he told you that he's going to his friends house instead.

I don't believe a married man has any business being in a strip club. He can have fun with guy friends but why does he have to be around a bunch of naked women? I'd be mad for sure.

Feel however your feel. Some women wouldn't care, some would. You're allowed to feel whatever you want! If you're upset them tell them, if it doesn't bother you then it's fine. Entirely up to you!

There is no "should" you be any certain way. How do you feel about it? That's how you should feel about it. Just know how you feel about it and own that feeling. Your feelings are your own and they are not wrong. Your partner should not be trying to invalidate your feelings over this. He should be listening to how you feel and trying to understand you, and you should do the same for him and then you should be coming up with a resolution or whatever you need to feel better about it. So you can talk to him and say for example, I feel hurt that you lied to me about this and in order for me to feel better about it I need to know why you lied. He will probably say something along the lines of being afraid of your reaction or that he knew you would be mad. Then you can tell him it's really hurtful that you would do things that you know would hurt me and that's not OK with me. I need to know that you will come to me and we can discuss things like this like adults before it happens. Being lied to makes me feel unsafe in this relationship and like I shouldn't be considering you a trustworthy person. And just see what he tells you and if it's acceptable for you, great then move past it. If what he says is not acceptable for you, then you need to think about whether or not this is the relationship for you.
