Water broke at 0505 on 8/10/16. Arrived at hospital @ 0640 (we live an hour away) and was checked in triage. Moved to labor room @ 0800 and shortly after got an epidural. (I have a 17 year old daughter and did not get an epidural with her birth so this time I wanted one.) Labor was pretty easy until about 8.5 cm. The pressure pain with each contraction started to get stronger and by that time I was on pitocin with contractions every 2 to 3 minutes. After pushing for almost an hour, second degree episiotomy and vacuum assisted birth, we welcomed baby Kinslee. Pushing was hard and it was very painful to deliver her...but she was worth it all. Look at that face, how sweet is that ?
