To Vaccinate or not?!

My husband and I have talked about it here and there but we both firmly believe that when the time comes that we will vaccinate our kids. I don't see why anyone wouldn't. Ladies where do you stand on the matter?

I honestly don't understand why people don't vaccinate. They improved the health of everyone when the vaccines came out. We just live in a generation where we don't see small pox or diptheria or polio so we don't think they are these deadly debilitating diseases that they are that used to wipe out whole towns and populations. It's sad to see misinformed people choosing not to vaccinate on fabricated results. The whole "research" thing that said it causes autism was proved to be fake. If someone has never seen these diseases they should google it and watch videos of babies trying to breath with whooping cough and tell me how that is so much better. Or the people who refused to have their child receive the vitamin K shot at birth then ask why they have a brain bleed before 3 months and are on life support and they have to pull the plug. People make these decisions everyday then want people to feel bad for them and their children because they are sick.

I will be because there are people that can't and I don't want them catching something I could help prevent. The schedule will be a little more stretched out so it isn't happening all at one time incase there is a reaction but it's happening. Also there are diseases that have almost disappeared that I would like to keep that way. Shots don't cause autism or anything so there's no reason to hurt others.

To not vaccinate because of a misinformed belief it leads to autism means that catching a potentially lethal illness is better than autism.  Really???

I will get some vaccinations for mine. My husband had an allergic reaction the mmr so that I probably won't be giving to my child.

People don't because they're misinformed or taught to be scared. I had whooping cough a few years ago, right when my booster was due.  I can't imagine an infant having a good shot at beating it.  A friend grew up in India- her brother constantly struggles because he had polio as a child. 
One thing I've seen is that parents are more scared of am autistic child than a dead one, which is awful but seems to have a grain of truth.
I understand being skeptical of brand new vaccines and meds, but not ones that have been tested and used for years.  And saved countless lives.

My son was vaccinated and future children will be too. I don't get why anyone would want to risk not vaccinating their kids. Is it worth it?!

We started out vaccinating both our sons. My oldest had horrible reactions everytime he got his shots, 15+ temp and skin that would thicken up like elephant hide and crack just a couple reactions. When our second was born after his first couple vaccines, he developed vaccination damage to his entire gi tract. We didn't have a choice, we had to stop. When we had to stop with him, we stopped with our oldest. Fast forward a couple years and my oldest was diagnosed with chronic early onset childhood migraines at 5yrs old that has been linked to the vaccines and reactions he had. He was also diagnosed with severe egg allergies, the doctor told us that if we wouldn't have stopped when we did and followed our gut, it would have killed him! Now, by doctors orders, they cannot be vaccinated or it can kill both of them.

I don't preach or push one way or another. All I can say is each parent makes the best decision that WE can for our children. All I ask is that anybody does their research on both sides and then makes an informed decision. In the beginning all we had was our gut and parental instincts, we didn't understand completely at the time, but knew we had to stop and knew that something wasn't right for our kids. Our decision saved both of our kids lives. I don't and would never judge anyone for their choices with vaccinations, i don't know everyone's reasonings. And a side note, my oldest is now 8 in a couple weeks, still suffering with his migraines, we have had no issues whatsoever with school and him not having all his vaccines, all we had to do was have a vaccination waiver signed by the doctor and we just have to do the same thing for our son who is getting ready to start kindergarten. And because of the history with our two oldest, this baby I'm growing will not be vaccinated until it is old enough to have the proper allergy testing done.
