Membrane Stretch and Sweep

I am 39+2 and had my membranes stripped at my appointment this afternoon. At no other point in my life would I be so excited about someone jamming their fingers into my cervix until I bleed, but despite the pain I would do it again. I've been getting off and on contractions but they aren't anything to call my doctor about just yet. I was wondering what other moms did after their membrane sweep to really get things going. My sons head is engaged and I was almost at 2cm before I had it done.
