Not sleeping at daycare

My LO just turned 4mo. and I had to return to work.  He is only taking 2 short 15min-30min naps during the day.  He is able to fall asleep additional times during the day but wakes quickly after just a couple minutes. In the evening he is sleeping roughly 12 hrs. straight.  I am worried he is not adjusting well and I am having difficulty not getting quality time with him in the evening.  He was taking a couple 2hr. naps before we started daycare and had been sleeping through the night. Any advice from you other mommas on what I could do to help him?  Is anyone else experiencing this?
