pooping in the corner/under tables

My daughter is nine months old and she has started sitting in the corner or crawling under the tables when she has to poop. She comes right out when she is done which helps minimize diaper rashes. My family has said that means that she is ready for privacy and possibly start potty training....but she seems way too young to me. Has anyone else's LOs done this? When did you start potty training??
