Small uterus?!

Question

I had an ultrasound for pelvic pain a week ago and I was told that I have a "tiny uterus." I don't really know how to take that. Will the size of my uterus cause complications if/when I want to have children?!

I honestly have no clue but I feel like this is something you should have immediately asked when they gave you that information. At least that's what I would have done. Call your doctor and ask since they have the most information after doing the ultrasound.

It really depends. How "small" is small? Are there any abnormalities in the structure of your uterus? The typical uterus is 7.5cm long, 5cm wide, and 2.5cm deep. A small uterus will tecbincally but rarely mean difficulty in bearing children. However, my friend was told the same thing and her son just turned 1 in February. Some uteruses are just smaller than others and will stretch to accommodate a baby. Don't fret. :-)
