Trying my hardest to keep my son healthy and apparently failing 😔
I love my little guy so much and am so bummed! He randomly got MRSA, which meant a week in the hospital and two weeks of antibiotics after that. It was so scary but he recovered well and was doing great until today. He was exposed to pink eye Friday and now has that, along with a double ear infection. 😥 The doctor was as surprised as I was about the ears because he's been a happy, chatty fella for the most part.
I breastfeed (which should help his immune system), wash my hands like crazy, keep his toys clean, etc but it just isn't enough to protect him. I know the doctors said none of this was my fault--MRSA in particular was a total fluke--but i can't help but feel like I failed him in some way. He's only 6 months old and all I can think when I look at him is how much I love him and want to protect him. 😔 I just want to keep him safe and healthy
