Getting fit vs staying fit?

So this is something I've always wondered about, because I see friends/family changing lifestyle to become healthier and more fit. I think it's great and love to celebrate with them. However, I've always been very fit and healthy, and I work hard to stay that way. I've since accumulated a lot of wisdom in this area, and I do like to share it if anyone is interested. Any who, just curious how it's perceived from the perspective of those just beginning the journey? Do you want help? Do you like advice? Or is someone like me come off as just high and mighty? Definitely not out to criticize anyone's efforts!
