Convertible car seats for newborns

This is my second baby. With our first we used an infant car seat up until he was 4 months. This was over 5 years ago. We plan on skipping the infant car seat and just using a convertible car seat safe for newborns(5lbs and up). So I am looking for the best convertible car seats on the market today. Feedback from those who chose to use a a convertible car seat from the start would be nice. I am having a hard time finding feedback and pictures of newborns in their convertible car seat.
