How long did it take your little one to adjust to formula from breast-feeding?

I'm only doing formula a few times a day but he's always fussy after, spits up, cries.. What do I do? We were on Enfamil newborn and now on Enfamil gentle ease. Does it just take time for there stomachs to adjust?

How many ounces does baby eat? Formula is a little more filling too so you can hold off feedings for a couple of hours at least. Do you burp your baby after feeding? Usually with formula babies they may become a little fussy because he or she may have to burp in between ounces whereas in  breast feeding- burping isn't necessarily needed. My baby eats 2-3 oz of formula  per feeding and after each ounce i burp my baby and usually that helps fussiness. As far as the  spit up- formula fed babies tend to spit up more but it shouldn't be a lot unless you've over fed.  Hope this helps. It's definitely an adjustment from the breast  I use enfamil too and have had no problems.
