Breastfeeding question help

So im a FTM im doing the most i can to breastfeed my new born but when she latches or tries to eat from my left boob omgg it hurts so much like almost as if it was sore 😩😖 i know its supposed to hurt but i dont think this much. Can someone help me to keep down my sore/pain on my boob. And explain why it hurts this much. 😓
