co sleeping?

what mommies are co sleeping with baby?
any tips/advice

i originally wanted her in the bassinet near my bed but she wakes up more often because she likes to be patted to sleep.

I want to Cosleep because I know it will be so much easier but I sleep like a fucking rock lol I slept through an earthquake and didn't even know anything happened until I woke up in the morning and my family was telling me about it (it happened in the middle of the night) so I'm not sure but on the other hand my husband is such a light sleeper but I don't want him doing all the work.

I co slept with both my babies right in the beginning, I have a huge bed and it was never a problem. I did have a crib next to my bed but it was just soooo much easier having them right next to me for those night time feeds. U have to look at the situation urself, like is ur bed big enough, are u deep sleepers, do u guys roll over a lot? Only u can make the right judgement for urself.

I coslept with my son. His nursery had a futon in it so I slept there with him a lot. I knew I was a light sleeper, even a cough or a twitch from him would wake me up. My now husband on the other hand, couldn't sleep with him. The man sleeps like a rock and probably would have rolled over on the baby lol. So I guess it all depends on you. You know yourself best, you know what can or can't wake you up and if your confident that cosleeping is what's best then do it. Personally, I tried getting him in his crib alone asap because I couldn't sleep right cosleeping, I was constantly waking up to check on him and not just night feeding often but like every half hour. .

I co slept with my son when he was a baby. He hated his crib. Nothing ever happened because so and I knew he was there. Doctor knew and said it was fine because he and his wife did the same thing with all of his 8 children.

Dealing with this same thing. I always swore we wouldn't co sleep so we bought the bassinet to connect to our bed... He HATED it, no one got any sleep. And it got to the point where I'd wake up at night to feed him & would end up falling asleep with him in our bed..without actually realizing it. Kinda scary at first so I felt more comfortable originally going to sleep with him so we would both know that he was with us. He's a month now and everyone loves it. Soo much easier for us all. I know there's a big debate about it and many people strongly disagree with it but honestly to each their own. It's all that will work for some people. My son's Doctor knows about it & has yet to say anything so I'm not worried. It's true what they say, mamas really do have that sense. You're asleep but your subconscious always knows that they're there and you really do sleep so much better knowing they're next to you and safe. But also it doesn't work for everyone! You will just have to see what works best for you.
