Grad Dress?

So... I'm posting this with the teens now.

So I graduate highschool this year and super excited, and there will soon be the inevitable dress choosing. So I found this one a few years ago, thought it was super pretty and still think it is.

Now as someone told me this is a prom dress,  not for graduation, but I am I see that as the same thing. We do a cap and gown one day where you're in your grad robes, and then a banquet where you get to dress all fancy. I like simple and elegant, and previous seniors have worn big and poofy so I think this is reasonable.

Its pretty right?

Personally, I agree with the prom dress thing. This looks more like a prom dress than a graduation dress. I think graduation dresses are typically more casual and often white. I'm not a fan

Everyone's school is different. At my school, we wear short, casual dresses. At my friend's school, they wear white, formal gowns. I think that your dress looks beautiful, and if your school has a more formal graduation, I say go for it!

I think it's too long to be honest. graduation gowns aren't that long and so the dress will hang out from underneath, and depending on your gown color it might not look right. I think you should go with a short dress to go under your gown, it just looks better. you could wear that for your party if you wanted to though.

To anyone saying to wear a short dress, grad dresses in some places are like prom dresses and not to be worn under the robes. Some places call "prom" a "grad banquet" which is almost the exact same thing.

That's a prom dress. Look up graduation dresses and go from there. Most girls at my graduation wore simple, classy, white dresses (obviously nothing blinged out). Nothing full length and with nice dress shoes. I wore a white lace dress and toms. I didn't want to trip on stage wearing heels. You're not partying..you're walking across a stage with a gown that covers everything up anyways and taking pictures afterwards. It's a classy, formal event not a party.. I only spent less than 20 dollars on my dress there's no reason to be spending all that money on a dress that's going to be covered up.

It varies from school to school how all this works but I find that dress gorgeous

Edit! My school doesn't wear the fancy clothes under the grad robes. They are literally on two separate days.
