When do you feed your new born?

im asking cause the other day while at the hospital i was sharing a room with another momma and baby so i fed or would have to be up to feed my baby every 2 hours or so. The mom next to me would feed her baby when she would cry.
I thought to myself maybe each mom has a different way of feeding there babies? And is it bad to do that or is normal?

A baby will tell you when they need a feeding. Which is typivally every 2-3 hours anyway

Signs appear before crying to me crying means I waited too long of course at night you can't help it.  I wouldn't let it go daily to the point of crying. I learned my son's person cue and made sure he was ahead of the crying as a last resort

I plan to feed on demand, however I am not going to vote because I don't plan on waiting long enough for bub to be crying. I don't really think having a feeding schedule is ideal, I personally eat when I am hungry so that is what my baby will do :) every baby is different.

Eventually you learn your baby. So you'll be able to tell which of their cries mean what. In the beginning it's just a guessing game but you'll learn your baby

I was on s three hour schedule with mine, but I'd they'd get fussy or cry in between, I'd feed them then too.

Jaundice babies NEED to be fed every two-three hours, but most babies will give signs that they're hungry in that time frame anyway. Crying is usually a last resort, they will usually make a "fishy face", suck their hands or turn their heads from side to side (searching for breast).
