Nipple stimulation to induce labour?

Has anyone tried this? How do you go about it? I'm almost at my due date and wanted to give it a whirl. Anyone tried it and it's worked?

It worked for me the other night. I'd stimulate one nipple for 1 min at a time then wait 5 mins and do the other one for a minute (trying to mimic a contraction pattern) it made me start contracting every 2-3 mins for a minute at a time. This went on for 2 hours but they stopped if I stopped. Guess my body just isn't ready 😞

I've tried it myself, with the pump, and had my husband do it. None of it worked but baby and your body has to be ready for it to work.

I was told using a breastpump is best and needs to be done for about 15-20 minutes. Not sure if that's each nipple or total, but I heard it from a childbirth educator!

I'm still nursing my first and it causes me to have contractions, but they stop shortly after he is done. Almost 38 weeks here.

I heard not to do it because the contractions that it causes are so strong that they can lower the fetal heartrate during labor.

I've tried it for half hour 15 mins on both sides and didn't get a single contraction

I used a manual breast pump for 15 mins on each side for a hour before.my contractions started .

It works ! Did it for.me ! Sent me into labor and delivery with contractions at 2 mins apart of course i waited home for a hour before going !!! With nothing before hand no.contractions cramping nothing tried nipple stimulation and bam !! Works !!!
