Gym Advertising or just plain rude??

So Fernwiod gyms posted this in their advertising campaign. I find it particularly offensive that they are actually guilt tripping mothers like this and making them feel insecure but I wanted to know what other people thought???

Personally, I find it a bit offensive and wouldn't dress my child in this. In our home, we strongly teach positive-talk about ourselves, as it helps to build a healthy sense of self esteem. A big part of that is talking positive about each other too, and building one another up for family support as well. For example: My youngest wants to play soccer, but is having a hard time with coordination (he just turned 5). We were playing out in the yard & he was getting frustrated with learning to kick the ball. He turned to me and said, "I'm a loser!" (a phrase he'd probably heard at school I'm assuming). This broke my heart, so I knelt down, looked him dead in the eye and said, "You are NOT a loser! You're young. You're learning still, and with practice, you're going to become great!". Putting my child in a shirt that announces my shortcomings to the world would be like me wearing a shirt that says, "My son is terrible at soccer, but he's working on it"!! As a family unit, you just don't do that! You build one another up & show respect for yourself and each other... You don't broadcast one's flaws to the world, but rather be each other's personal cheerleader and know the value and potential of that person! While I personally would never dress my child in the shirt pictured, he'd be more than welcome to wear one that says, "My mom's awesome, just the way she is!", as I'd proudly wear one that said the same for him (or any other member of my family)!

I don't find it offensive at all. It's a kid in a shirt on a damn add. I'd say just get over it. Nobody is forcing you to look at it.

Yea i go to fernwood too and when they started putting these signs up my thought where like wtf lol and i dont even have kids yet

I wouldn't buy that shirt for my child (just because I'd find it bizarre) but I don't personally find it offensive.
