Did anyone lose friends?

I feel like I lost my best friend after having my LO. She just turned 5 months old and she hasn't bothered to come and visit us :( when she talks to me on the phone she never asks how my LO is doing or ever brings her up. It really hurts.. I think it's obvious I need to just move on but I don't even know where to start.

She doesn't have any kids either but I still don't think that's an excuse for ignoring / not seeing or asking me about my LO.

Is anybody else in the same boat? Any advice?

Call her out on it. Maybe she doesnt realize it bothers you, maybe she doesn't feel like you've invited her, maybe she doesn't want to be friends anymore... You just don't know until you confront it. Be kind but be frank. Why haven't you come to see us? Don't you want to meet my baby? 
There is no point in dancing around the issue. We definitely lost some friends when our first child was born. We married young and started a family and some of our friends weren't ready to grow up and that's fine no hard feelings we just live different lives.

I think it's hard for people in different situations. I was one of a few friends with no kids, and now I have a baby and it's just different.

One of my good friends had a miscarriage right after we found out we were having our baby. I walked on eggshells constantly around her until around 35 weeks when I thought that I was doing more harm than good by ignoring my gigantic belly. Well, she broke down in tears in a group of strangers while I was there because of how heartbroken she was over her miscarriage still. I felt awful and it really put me in a hard place of how to act around her with regards to my baby who is my sole responsibility now. We recently went out to lunch as couples and our baby was in prime form, wiggling, squeaking, not happy, etc and we complained about how hard it is to be new parents and after we left they seemed bummed out and haven't gone out with us again. It sucks because she was a great friend, and I will always hope our relationship goes back to the way it was before, but not being able to be honest with how it is going for fear of making her sad over our experience is difficult and feels kind of like lying to myself based on how our relationship is now.
