Our Daughter has come amidst chaos.

Amanda
8/25/2016: We went to a
Scheduled doctors appointment to see if I was favorable to be induced. At this point I am 4 days over due. Our Doctor did a cervical exam and said I was still dilated to a 2 and 50% effaced. Bummed, when we left, because I had been that for two weeks now. We decided to schedule an induction for the following Monday. This day also happens to be my brother in laws birthday, so we went and had a small party to celebrate. We came home at about 8:30. I sat down to relax and turned on flip or flop. 10 min later I felt my first real contraction. Fair Warning: You'll know it when you feel it. I jolted on my couch in a instant pain. Then it subsided and I told my husband that I have never felt that eve before. It's amazing how many different kind of cramps that someone can have. Ten minutes later it reTurned. I cried out in pain. I decided to get into a bath to try and relax. They Kept coming. I finally gave up on relaxing and had my husband help me out of the bath. I went and laid on the bed. They were now 4 min apart and hurt like hell. 10:00 I told
My husband it is time. He called his Brother to come and get my son, and called his mom to ride with us to the hospital. My husband has bad anxiety and was a hot mess. Thank god for his mom. 10:30 We get to the hospital and I am dilated to a 3. They said they will watch me for an hour and if nothing progresses they will send me home. I yelled at my nurse and said "No you won't. I am not leaving this hospital in this kind of pain." An hour later I was only a 3 1/2. The nurse who I yelled at lied and said I was a 4 to keep me. Thank god. Anyways. I received the epidural which was nothing. But I ended up feeling only half of my body. So, they re did it and got me feeling good. At 2:00 I was a 4 1/2 I slept until 6:30am when my doctor arrived. He checked me at a 5. They had me put my legs on a peanut ball to help her drop further down. An hour later I was an 8 knowing it was soon I hit the epidural button again to make sure I was good and numb. And at 8:30 I was a 9 1/2. They started prepping me. I started pushing at 9am. All of a sudden a nurse runs in screaming at my doctor saying they needed him for an emergency. Right out side my door was a woman who was sent home, ended up having her baby at home, and was hemorrhaging severely. My doctor left me with my nurse as she had me push some more. He had to go save that ladies life. This made my mother in law sick. So she decided to take a brisk walk. Not realizing that that lady was outside. She thought she was going to faint. She said it looked like a war zone out side because of all of the blood through the hallways. My doctor came back in and was so cool, calm and collected. He is in his zone when helping people, even though he left me mid pushing, I am so happy I had such a great doctor. So after he came in it was all hands on deck and 30 min later Lucy Loraine born at 9:48am on 8/26/2016. 8 lbs 9 oz; 21 3/4
She is seriously our little doll face. We couldn't be any happier.
