baby shower

My partner really wants to have a baby shower, I feel like that something you do with both friends and family but I'm not sure i want one as I don't really have any friends I could invite, he wants to invite his close friends and I don't have any and I don't know what to do. I'm embarrassed by the fact that I won't have any friends there, no one close to me apart from my family to celebrate whereas he will have his close friends and large family there, I'm scared I will be judged by them.
