๐ ๐Birth Control Problems ๐๐
I have been on just about every form of birth control I was on several different versions of the pill, Nuvaring, the patch, the shot, IUDs, implants, diaphragm, condoms.
After my son was born 4 years ago I was on both Mirena IUD but eventually switched to the paragaurd IUD for 3 years. My periods were getting too painful so I had it removed around March also it was probably wasn't in the right spot because he said he could feel it. ( I had the strings cut shorter for both IUDs but the paragaurd was the one he complained about the most especially after the holidays)
I switched to the Nexplanon implant immediately after and had to have that taken out within a month because I was getting really sick ( I have finally resigned to the fact that I cannot do any form of hormone because my body physically will reject it in someway)
We switched to condoms until I found the Caya diaphragm. My cervix is on the small side but I did get measured by my OBGYN and I fall into the size range. The biggest issue typically is/was removal because it would get pushed up higher during intercourse.
However, this past weekend ( specifically Saturday afternoon and Sunday evening) when I took it out it was wayyyyyy to easy and there was what appeared to be semen in the rounded portion that covers my cervix (not just a little either a good tablespoon amount) this was also during my peak ovulation time according to GLOW and just in how I typically behave and physically act/ appear in regards to sex when I am ovulating.
We went several rounds on Friday, Saturday, and only once in Sunday. I'm good about leaving my diaphragm in for the recommended time but on Saturday my peak ovulation day I didn't reapply the spermicide before we continued ( stupid I know but wasn't thinking at that point in time).
My period isn't supposed to arrive for 10 more days but tonight when I wiped I had a faint amount of blood light pink and barely noticeable if I wasn't monitoring as closely as I do I wouldn't have noticed. And my breasts HURT. And I am really really moody. Which I know is very typical before AF... But also having experienced pregnancy this time I am concerned....
Feeling frustrated because men could not even begin to comprehend how much work goes into preventing pregnancy on our end and how much these scares affect us.
