After reuniting with my close childhood friend we grew a large liking for each other. When we started back hanging out however we were both in long term relationships which were very similar for about the same length of time. He and his gf broke up but I'm still with my bf. We never kept it a secret that we liked each other but never acted on our emotions because of our relationships.

This same friend recently spoke to me and we came to the conclusion that although we like each other we need to establish that we are just best friends because neither of us like the idea of cheating and he didn't want to be part of that..

After that talk everything was much better and My relationship with my bf felt as great as it was before as my friend and I started talking less.

He went away for a few months for job purposes but he's back in town and nothing is the same. I realised that he doesn't have time for me close to as much as he did before and up to now he and I haven't even hung out. It's almost as though he's avoiding seeing me in person and the only time he's really willing to hang out is if it's with a group of fiends.

I would understand if he's trying to prevent anything from happening between us but if we never acted on our emotions before why would we now ?

I also am pretty sure he's moved on and I thought I did too until he came back in town and hasn't been taking me on as much..

Could it be that he has lost interest in hanging out because he just doesn't like me that way anymore ? I thought we were Besties so I don't understand why he's acting different although a friendship like what we used to have is all I want..

Now that he's back I keep thinking about him again especially because of how he's not taking me on and this may cause my relationship with my bf to hinder again. My bf knows he and I like each other and isn't fond of us talking often. But despite this I still just want to Hang out with my friend.. I don't have any Romantic intentions but I miss the way it used to be and I just wanna hang.
