my special little boy 💞

My precious boy was due today sept 4th.  But my first contraction started at 7:30pm on august 18th. Had a small amount of clear discharge and first thing that came to my mind was that my water broke. So I went to the ER at 9:30pm to double make sure it wasn't my water. Well about having me in observation for an 1hr they said I was contracting but they were about 15 min apart opened at 2cm. They said to go take a walk for about 2 hrs non stop and to go back to L&D. So I did as they said, went back at 11:40 got checked and was at 4cm. The contractions were still mild nothin I couldn't handle (high tolerance) by like 2am I was at 6cm but while they were checking me to see how opened I was my water broke after my water breaking OH MY GOODNESS!!! The contractions were strong so I asked for iv medication a little after 15 min of having the medication I started to feel the sensation of "pooping" so at that moment I knew it was time to push! It was about 2:30am when I told the nurse I couldn't prevent myself from pushing. So she checked how much I've dilated and I was 9cm about to hit 10cm. Once I had been checked she gave me the green light to push. After about 15 min of pushing my little boy Rafael Adrian was born at 2:47am on August 19th weighting at 6lbs 11oz and 19in. Once he was born he wouldn't cry, he was having difficult breathing and also to find out he is a special baby with Down syndrome. He also has a hole in his tiny heart and therefore he has been in the nicu. This journey has been a little difficult for us since deliver cause we didn't expect him to be in the nicu. Specially after throughout my prenatal care we were told EVERYTHING was fine. Didn't have any complications at all. But no matter what he is my baby boy the one we had waited for so long and after having 2 previous miscarriages.  He is our entire world and although the he is still in the nicu we hope he's out soon and bring him home with us.
