Neeborn diaper help!

My little girl is a week old and wearing huggies. Ive noticed her clothes have been a little wet from her pee. Why are they doing this? She wears newborns and size ones (which are a little big) but thats what they gave us at the hospital. What can i do to stop her from getting soaked?! Ftm mom help me out mommas!!
