Mother in law Advice
Hey all, just looking for some feedback from those who've been there.
I am due 12/17 with my first and my mother in law mentioned coming for Christmas this year overnight. (She lives hour and a half away).
If baby comes on time I have no problem with this, but if baby is late and comes closer to Christmas then I am kind of not loving this idea.
We aren't close, she has not reached out to me once this pregnancy to see how baby is doing or how I am, not even when my husband left for military training for a month. I just don't think I would want any overnight guest those first few nights home, but how do you say no when it's Christmas? My first thought was ask her to stay in a hotel, but how mean is that when we have a perfectly good guest room and again it's Christmas time?
I just never feel comfortable in my own home when she is here, I feel like a guest in my own house, what do I do?
