Pregnancy and Gallstones
Anyone having gallstones while pregnant? This is my second pregnancy and I'm having TERRIBLE gallstone issues. I had gone to the ER a couple months ago with the pain for the first time and learned it was just gallstones; my gallbladder is fine. Now that I'm pregnant again (6 weeks) I'm worried about this pain. It was so bad yesterday that I vomited twice; though I guess that could be pregnancy related, but I never vomited with my first pregnancy. The pain also lasted for 5+ hours. I wasn't jaundice so I wasn't worried about infection. Should I just have my gallbladder removed? Can I have it removed while pregnant? What are some things to help relieve pain from attacks? And things to avoid flare ups? Thanks in advance!
