when did you leave child with someone else???

So it's my birthday tomorrow and my son is just over 3 weeks. My husband wants to take me out to dinner but for some reason I just don't know if I want to leave. I'm like nervous my son will be fussy for someone else and, honestly, he is great in the evening and goes down pretty well around 8 pm every night for awhile. I breastfeed and pump so I have milk to leave. So what would you do?

With family I would do 3 weeks at the youngest. With a stranger like daycare 1 year lmao!!

I went and had a nail appt for 1.5 hours when baby was exactly 2 weeks old. She stayed with my partner and my mum, I left some breast milk, and she was absolutely fine. The longer you go without leaving them, the less you will want to! Go out for a few hours, have some you time and enjoy the time! Baby will still be there when you get back and sometimes I think we make things worse for ourselves! I spent the whole time away worrying and checking my phone for calls, I got back and she was still sleeping, milk untouched!

I've left my baby at 4 weeks for 2 hours with my MIL. He did fine. There's breast milk in the freezer so she give him a bottle when he was hungry. Our families live 6 hours away. We're going to visit for a few weeks and I already told my husband I want a date night while we're there. He's 7 weeks today. I get anxious when I leave him but there's no way to get rid of that feeling as a first time mom lol

My son turned three yesterday and Sunday my husbands cousin got married. My mom stayed in the hotel with him and I went to the wedding. I skipped the ceremony and only went to the reception coming and going to nurse. It was a little hard because I was worried about him and he was fussy for my mom! For like 3 hours he was and he was fighting sleep, but in the end he was okay. I couldn't imagine leaving him with anyone other than my mom but it's nice to know he'll be okay when I'm not right there in the room and I'll be okay too!
