late period

So at the beginning of last month, my boyfriend and I had sex a couple days before my period started; which I knew I was going to start soon. Have any of you guys done this, had your period but then when you're supposed to start your cycle the next month, it's late? I think this has happened to me once before, but just curious to know if it happens to anyone else?
