Severe hip pains

My hip from the lower part of my back and into my butt cheek hurts so bad I can barely walk. Is this what sciatica feels like? I've been using tylenol and applying heat to the area but it's not helping much. I've also been trying to stretch everyday after work. I work with special needs preschoolers so I'm up and down and all around all day. Any advice on what it could be or what else could help the symptoms?
