Cats and Newborns

I'm just about to deliver and my husband and I have a cat. He seems to get jealous whenever we read or talk to the baby and he doesn't like it when my husband touches my belly. I've heard to keep a cat away from the baby while sleeping because of the milk scent on their breathe. What do you all think? What would you do or are doing with your cat? I wish our's (named Paw) would just calm down!
