Do you think jealousy in a relationship is a good thing?

Good or bad? Should one be jealous or only be jealous during certain situations?

Answer

No. My husband and I are not jealous people and it helps to strengthen our trust of each other. When he isn't jealous, it makes me more certain I don't have to be and also helps me to know he wouldn't ever do anything with anyone and feels that I am the same.

That being said, a small level of jealousy doesn't have to be detrimental. I won't say we've NEVER had our moments, but the less jealous we are, the less jealous we become.

Nope. Especially because most men find jealousy to be extremely unattractive and big red flags. Jealousy only brings up controlling behaviors and that's not okay. Jealousy should never influence ones actions.

Jealousy can be normal at times, what matters is how you express it. It needs to be dealt with in a healthy way.

Some jealousy is healthy... But not to the point it makes you question your partner. There is such a thing as rational jealousy vs irrational jealousy. If you get jealous that your partner speaks to memebers of the opposite sex that's irrational, if you get jealous when a girl grabs your SO butt while you are standing right there and he doesn't "handle" the situation, that's rational.

A little jealously is normal and healthy. It's instinctual. It's unreasonable to say that a person has never been jealous. Being uncomfortable when a person of the opposite sex talks to your SO. Or you don't know why you don't like a person your SO might pay extra attention to. That's all little signs of the green eyed monster. Now when a person gets Phsyco or unrational. Or when some one just acts nuts about an outfit or a friend or a smile. That's not normal or healthy at all
