Does anyone know if emergency rooms can induce labor

Question

I wasn't able to schedule a doctors appointment this week because there are no available appointments until October and I'm 10 days overdue. Can I just go into a ob screening room and get induced?

Edit- just to clarify my ob screening room doubles as an emergency room for pregnant women. Sorry that I incorrectly assumed that other hospitals worked like this. I'm a first time mom.

I would walk into my Drs office and say look I am ten days over due and need to see my dr

No and that's a misuse of emergency services

You should be going to your ob weekly and if your 10. Days over due most doctors don't let women go past 41 weeks

I would call your midwife/doctor, things may work differently where i am but my midwife sent me to go see another doctor that does induce labour i was 40 weeks

ERs don't do that. Your dr has to set it up. You should have been going weekly so why didn't your dr know you were that far past your due date
