Would I be able to donate blood?
Every year my school has a blood drive, so last year I was finally old enough to participate but I was turned away because my iron levels were too low. I kind of knew it was going to happen because a few years ago, my doctor told me I had iron deficiency anemia so I just thought it'd go away. Obviously it didn't. So a couple weeks ago, I saw posters for the blood drive this year. I wanted to try again, but this time I'm taking iron pills to help my iron levels go up. I started off with taking one per day, then two, then I went up to three per day, and so on. Now I'm at five per day. Not sure if that's healthy but I haven't been experiencing any discomfort or anything. My stool is black but I read that that's normal when taking iron. Tomorrow's the big day. Do you think I'll be able to donate blood?
