racism, lies, oppression and white privilege.
Focus on the FACTS. I am so fed up with this false narrative that some white people have been perpetuating since the beginning of time. Black people are not all thugs and criminals; they're not all on welfare looking for a hand out. They're not all violent, dangerous and untrustworthy. How do I know? Because half of me is ONE OF THEM. And the OTHER half of me feels ashamed that people like THIS NC CONGRESSMAN are entrusted to represent MY city, MY people, and 50% of MY race. This is not a "black" issue. This affects us all. Until we are as outraged at senseless murder of innocent black men as we are about Colin Kaepernick's silent, peaceful protest, we will get nowhere as a society. We cannot fight violence with more violence. But at the same time, injustice and peace CANNOT coexist. Nobody said Black Lives Matter MORE. But Black Lives Matter, TOO. Also, in addition, and in conjunction. And if anyone disagrees with that notion, then remember that next month is breast cancer awareness... I want you to proudly state that ALL CANCER MATTERS. Because, no sh*t!
