Cold during pregnancy?

Can u take decongestants or anything during pregnancy? I've been sick for 2 days with a cold, sore throat, and I'm clogged with mucus. At night my sinuses swell up and I can only get a couple hours of sleep. And I have a toddler to take care of all day. I've been taking a couple hot showers a day, cough drops, hot water and tea with honey, tylenol, but nothing helps me sleep or unclogs my nose:( is there anything else I can take? I've been thinking about getting one of those tea pot things that u run water through ur nose with lol do those work?

The thing your talking about is called a Neti pot and it does help some. I have chronic sinusitis and I don't take decongestants or anything because they actually block me up more and cause more pressure and pain for me so I use steam and the Neti pot-then like the cough drops for sore throat.

I've been Suffering from a cold since Saturday morning. I've been taking Tylenol severe cold and it's a miracle worker! I'm going to the doctor tomorrow though because it went down in my chest but the Tylenol makes me able to live life a little and get sleep lol feel better mama

Ask your pharmacist for sudafed. The original - nothing with dm, pe, etc. the original is only sold from behind the counter. And some pharmacies are hesitant to sell for fear you have a meth lab in your trunk. Saline spray for nose.

When I'm congested I find a facial steam bath with some eucalyptus oil in the water helps.
