contraceptive patch?

Has anyone used the contraceptive patch? I'm currently 39 weeks and 4 days pregnant so I'm starting to think about what kind of contraception I want to use once baby is here. I was on the pill before but fell pregnant whilst on it so I'm worried to take the pill again. I was thinking of giving the patch a go. Has anybody used it? If so how good is it? How does it work? Is it like the pill where you take a weeks break each month? Thankyou! :)
