DNA Testing???

My midwife recommended DNA testing from bloodwork at 10 weeks that tells you if your baby has any disorders (i.e. Down's syndrome) and can tell you the gender.  She said it would be $100 out of pocket for us since I'm not a high risk pregnancy.

I have never heard of this before! Finding out the gender at 10 weeks just from a blood test?  Has anyone done this before?

My friend had it done and it told her she was having a girl and she actually had a boy, I was flabbergasted considering it's a DNA sample from the baby.. crazy! ☺️ It's deff really cool and she's the only one I've ever heard it being wrong for.

I'm going to be having it done. It's more for making sure that there are no genetic abnormalities. I'm a little high risk so it's worth it to me. Finding out the sex is definitely a perk

I really want to do it. Mostly for the DNA testing, but also to know the gender at an earlier date. If it's not something you're comfortable with, don't do it, but I honestly think it's an amazing thing they're offering.

It's called the Harmony blood test. You can look it up online for more information. I've had many friends that have done it, it's fairly new but very accurate.
