CNA Related! Any advice welcome!

I am a young CNA. Just turned 18 and got my CNA certification in June. I recently started to work at a local nursing home after moving out of my parents house. Earlier this week I got injured at work. (This is my first CNA job.) I got hit on the head pretty hard and had to go to the ER. I got workmans comp for the hospital bills and the day and a half I had to miss at work. This older CNA (she's in her 50s and has been a CNA since she was 15) was being really rude to me about it tonight at work. She said I was making a big deal out of it. I had to have my skull reconstructed when I was 7 weeks old. Anytime I am hit in the head I have to go to the ER. Was it right for me to go to the ER and get workmans comp? I just feel bad since I haven't even been a CNA for a month yet. (Sorry it's long)
