sex every day or every other day?

My husband and I have been trying for two months now. Last month I never got a positive ovulation test but showed all other signs of ovulation. I read that sometimes you miss your LH surge. This month I decided to take two a day. So far nothing but we have been having sex every other day since Monday. My apps say my fertile window started yesterday and ends on Tuesday. We had sex on Wednesday but then late yesterday afternoon I checked my CM and it was EWCM so he came home from work so we can be intimate. Should we go back to every other day or try every day? The apps say my most fertile day should be Sunday. I am feeling cramping on my right side which is usually when I feel when I ovulate. Also, is it strange that I get ovulation symptoms but haven't yet seen a positive ovulation test? Greatly appreciate any advice and tips
