who have you told?

I'm just curious as every time I tell people I feel guilty like I shouldn't be doing it yet and like I'm breaking some kind of pregnancy golden rule. Ask I am feeling really really sensitive today which doesn't help. 
So far we have just told our parents, my brother, his sister and 2 of our best friends, I am comfortable with that. However, I have also told my boss (also confortable with that) and now 5 of my direct colleagues which is what I am feeling guilty for, maybe because hubby doesn't know I told them and maybe wouldn't approve. We are a super close team though, I am a manager and I have been up and down lately and struggling to hide it from them. How does everyone else feel about this? Have you told colleagues or more people than you feel you should have? I'm 9 weeks tomorrow and had a scan this week confirming that everything looks healthy

It's your baby, tell whomever you'd like. Some people like to tell early, others like to wait. 
There is no right or wrong time to tell. Just do it when you feel comfortable.

We have told our immediate families and that's it. I'm 9 weeks. We are going to wait until 12 weeks to let my mom spill to the rest of the family. Will probably tell friends closer to 16 weeks. Don't like the attention haha

We've told close friends and my sister. I want to tell the world but catch myself. I'm hoping 8 week mark I'll be comfortable enough to let it flow whenever it flows! Had a loss before as well and did not like the sympathy Calls and texts or explaining I was okay over and over. Tell when you're comfortable.

I told my sister and a few close friends. I had to tell work right away because I'm a chemist and need to stay away from the hazardous projects now that I'm pregnant. I also had to tell my roller derby team since I had to quit abruptly in the middle of the season. 
I'm pretty anxious about having to tell so many people so early. But I felt that it was just best to be honest with everyone.

When this last June hey I was 6 1/2 weeks pregnant I was over the moon I started telling everybody… And once everybody knew we had lost the baby on June 6th! I had honestly felt kind of embarrassed for a while because people would ask how the baby was progressing little did they know I had already had a miscarriage… Once it did leak out that I had a miscarriage I felt I had a lot more support behind me! We are now currently seven weeks pregnant and have only told our close friends and a few family members… My managers had a no due to an early scan today, but other than that I think will keep it a secret until our second trimester and then make it a whole announcement!

I know how you feel... My husband and I miscarried our first pregnancy.  I told everyone that I was preggers and when that unfortunate event happened, it wasn't nice getting sympathy. I didn't want it. I wanted my baby. But yea, my hubby wants it a complete secret and I've told my sister and two more ppl at work that I am. He doesn't know about the extra two. I can't bring myself to tell him cuz I know he'll be mad. (I told them just in case something happens to me at work, he just doesn't want the whole store knowing. We work at the same place.) We didn't wanna say anything to family either until December when I'm in the clear and in my second trimester. It is gonna be a holiday surprise! Lol

Just enjoy the fact that you're pregnant now. Don't let anyone rain on your parade. Tell who you feel is ok to tell. But it's up to you whether or not you wanna tell your SO about it... Good luck❤️

Thanks ladies, it's good to get opinions on this. A lot of people think it's a big no no but it's also really hard to Keep it quiet from people you are close to. I'll try not to give myself a hard time for telling people

I've told my gandpa (who passed away shortly after-first great-grandchild), two close friends, and my boss. We won't be telling family until after the first trimester because they are terrible at keeping secrets. I feel like the best gift I can give them is the ability to shout it from the roof tops as soon as they find out.

We've told my parents and sister but not my oh's family. And i had to tell my boss as I had to leave work for an early scan two weeks ago so he has known very early on! I've told my colleague who I work closely with too, she is a mum of four so it's good to get some advice when I feel a twinge here or there xx
